"It has always been a pleasure talking to you.". "Same here.". I really had a great chat with her, my Oakwood rep, the person responsible for sending me my apartment bills.
She bade me farewell too, "Bon voyage", she said.
She's from Carribean, the West Indies area, and she stayed in a place called St.Lucia. Apparently St. Lucia is a very beautiful island, although sometimes there are hurricanes. She mentioned about the September 11 attack, which made less tourists' business for her hometown since everybody is scared to board a plane...hmm, maybe next time when I come back to US I will make a trip there...

Today is the second anniversary between me and my company. Can't believe that I've been here for so long, and still not achieving my goal. Well, I'll give myself one more year to see if there's any potential growth in my current position. Otherwise...
April 3, 2000 - 6 naive-looking NPG new hires sat nervously at the PG9 lobby, waiting for the new hire orientation to start. The first one to open his mouth was NMH, who shook his hand with everybody saying "Hi, I am so-and-so" (better not disclose their names in case they find out about this blog of mine)...
Then came KJG, a PhD holder but looked like a 17-year old kid. That fella slumped on his chair and said nothing. Looked timid at that time, but he's totally doing the reverse now...:p
DR and SM were the two late ones, hiding at one corner near the toilet...
And lastly, Ah B and me, who used to be trainees in the same dept that hired us, so I wasn't exactly nervous. Chatted with him until the orientation started.
April 3 2002 - 6 smart-looking engineers (u think easy to achieve this ar? takes years of experience, 2 to be exact) exhanging emails telling each other why we haven't left this hellhole yet...:). Nah, most of us were reflecting the life we have now, work and work, but we understand one point: we've learnt a lot during the past two years and have gained a lot of experience, especially in human communication. Now we know how to tai-chi tasks to other ppl, and how to defend ourselves when boss "pai ngo tei seong toi" (bring us up to the table, meaning taking us as the scapegoat when anything happens).
Sigh, time passes slow today...I think I'll go read Dilbert to boost up my motivation..
