Yesterday was like Friday the 13th to me. The stupid bahtroom light switch went bonkers (flipping the switch on or off will not make a difference, the light will still be on). So I had to tour around Bayan Baru area with my friend to get an electrician. And guess what the outcome is? Yes, you are right, we couldn't find a single person who can claim that he has even a little bit of knowledge in fixing switches. So, being heroine and all, both my friend and I decided to buy the switch and change it ourselves. If guys can do it, why can't girls??? Fearing that the shops will be closed early, we left early, after 6.00pm actually, towards Sunshine Square area. And then the unavoidable event happened. This big truck wanted to 'eat' my lane and pass through a narrow road. And before I even had time to move my car, he has already knocked onto my car. The best thing is that both the tyres were locked, so I can't reverse or move forward. In the end two Malay guys helped me out by lifting up the back of my car. So after that thinking that we will stop by the side and negotiate, I drove and stopped by the side. That idiot truck driver just sped off! I got so so so mad that I chased him all the way until I can cut in front of him. Then I slowed down the car and forced him to stop by the road side. And guess what he said when he got out, "Haiyo, this is not my fault, you didn't gostan properly, that's why got scratched la!"...and so the verbal war began. My girl friend was even madder than I was, she helped quite a lot by blasting that guy left right center. Heh, in the end I sent the car to the mechanic to fix, and the bill to the truck driver of course.
And the light switch issue is still there, so we went to buy a new switch. After several futile attempts to screw the new switch in, we both agreed that this should be a guy's work, and we will let the guys get all the credits. But my guy friend didn't get to do that as well. Two electrical engineers, a computer programmer, and a bathroom light switch (Two guys, a girl, and a pizza place, ring a bell?)...sigh, I pitied them, coz they tried until 11.0pm...the never-give-up spirit...really admire them.
In the end I called up landlady who called her friend to fix it. And now everything's working properly, including my 'wrecked' car...

One of my colleagues will be leaving the company in Feb. It feels kinda weird, because I did not expect him to leave so fast, although I've predicted this. And I'm not too kamcing with him too, but he said I was the only one who knew about this, and asked me not to 'leak out'. Of course I will keep my promise, though it's gonna be real hard.
He will be going back to his hometown to help his dad manage his arcade center. Might be involved in kongsi gelap also, dunno ler...
Well, what can I say? See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, and 'do' no evil...:P

Went to Redbox last Saturday with my colleagues, and had some fun there. The slot was from 3-6pm, and at first we thot that it will be more than enuff for the 5 of us (4 girls and 1 guy, he is one lucky man..:))...mana tau 3 hours is just enough for warming up...:P . And we even grabbed the last chance to sing one last song when some of us went to the loo...pathetic, but it was still fun. And someone deliberately choose those 'keng chau' songs by Faith Hill and A-Mei...can hear our 'clacking' three blocks away.
They are still having the pre-opening promotion (till 16 Nov), where it's only RM12 per person for room and a drink. Another package includes food, with the same price, but the hours are shorter. We chose the food package, and it tasted quite okay, although the drink sucked.
Better get back to my work...
